I am currently editing chapter seventeen of The Fray Theory - Resonance! It is thrilling to be more than halfway through, but also intimidating. I suppose one of the reasons I often put things on hold is because until I attempt something, I can hold onto the fantasy of success.
Now, don't get me wrong. I am enjoying every precious moment of meticulously fine-tuning my writing. But how can I know whether I have finally completed a spectacular project, or simply reached the limits of my potential? Every time I read over my words, I manage to render them with better clarity and precision. But where does one draw the line? As a writer (and perfectionist), I'm curious to know: is investing triple the time and effort worth the 10% improvement in your writing? Or is that "small" improvement really what makes all the difference in the world? Happy editing!
